Rideshare

This is a free and self-service rideshare board for participants to organize transportation to and from Karmê Chöling with each other.

How it Works

This board is fully self-service. Posting, cancelling, and contacting each other all happen here and through email exchange. Your email and phone are never shown on the board, and staff cannot share a poster’s contact information with anyone.

1. Post your ride request. It appears on the board immediately.
2. We email you a confirmation with a link to remove your post at any time.
3. When someone responds to your post, their message is relayed to you by email.
4. Reply to that email to connect directly and arrange the ride together.
5. Your post comes down automatically once the travel date has passed.

How to Edit My Post

Posts cannot be edited after submission, please:

1. Open the confirmation email titled “Your Karmê Chöling rideshare is live” and click “Cancel this ride”.
2. Confirm the cancellation on the page that opens.
3. Post a new ride with the correct details. It goes live immediately.

Lost the confirmation email? Resend your cancel links and they will be emailed to the address you posted with.

Rides by Staff

Karmê Chöling staff are independently able to offer a ride for a suggested gratuity, between the driver and passenger(s). Payments can not be processed through Karmê Chöling. The recommended gratuity is $75 for ~hour away, $60/per person if multiple people, and $150 for rides to and from the Burlington area.

Rides by staff are not always available given our small size, and are not a guaranteed travel service. Plan accordingly and schedule an Uber, Lyft, or taxi no less than 5 days prior to your program.
Please do not contact guest services to arrange a rideshare.

A Note About Safety

Posts are public and anyone can respond. Karmê Chöling does not screen posters or drivers, so please use your own judgment when arranging a ride: confirm details over email before traveling, share your plans with someone you trust, and never send money to someone you have not met.
